LIFEHONEY: Sales more than doubled after website optimization

LIFEHONEY is a retail gift business on Shopify that sells a unique Kintsugi kit and ceremony. After a few years of website expansion, loading was sluggish – up to a few seconds to load a page – and sales were down. After all, slow websites can result in real loss of sales.

I worked on multiple fronts – optimizing code, templates, and images, implementing CDN, lazy loading, caching and minification, reducing and deferring scripts. On a large website like this with complex plugins and trackers, this work makes a big difference.

My work began in June and finished in July, bringing the website loading time down from several seconds to under a second. By August, sales had doubled, and they continued to rise over the following months. The streamlined user experience and faster response directly translated to increased profits for the client.
